Reports To:

The podcast co-host will report to Ernest Hooker, Programming Director of DIGGIN' IN THE CRATES Hip Hop Podcast and Shows.

Position Overview:

​

The Hooker and McAdoo Show is looking for a female co-host, at least 21 years of age.

​

As a podcast host, your responsibilities focus on offering commentary that engages your audience, interviewing guests, and performing other on-air duties during recording. As a podcast host, you help plan your show and research the topic under discussion, sketch out questions for guests, and work with advertisers to produce lead-in copy. As you are the “face” of the podcast, you engage with fans, press, and the public through social media, podcast events and/or live recording events.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

 

• Assist the podcast hosts with discussing hot topics.

• Research current events. Come up with weekly topics.

• Provide voice-overs for podcast ads and commercials.

• Effectively interview a variety of guests.

• Attend podcast hosted events.

• Curate your personal social media platforms to help elevate the podcast brand.

 

Qualifications:

 

• High School Diploma required

• Prior on-air co-host experience encouraged

• Exceptional communications skills

• Knowledge of music from various genres between 1960-present.

• Familiar with current topics in politics, entertainment, sports and the local community.

• Dependable

• Good Time Management Skills

• Ability to collaborate with a team
